Instagram for Pool Builders

Instagram is the FREE marketing tool that you haven’t even thought about!

  • Turns your smartphone into a powerful camera
  • Takes beautiful photos
  • Photos are automatically sized perfectly for your website or for social media
  • Eliminates the need for an expensive photographer
  • Every person on your crew can take the photos
It is too often that we work with a new pool builder and find out that they don’t have good pictures of the pools they’ve built. Whether it is building a new website, or promoting their work via Facebook or Pinterest, if your pictures don’t look good people are not going to call you.
In the pool builder industry – PICTURES ARE EVERYTHING!
I know that you don’t want to hear this, but customers judge your business and your work based on your pictures. Pictures get customers excited about their new pool. It let’s their imagination run wild. Showing your customers what you have built for others will make them see what is possible for them, and it could take an estimate for a $40,000 pool and make it $60,000. Heck, it could even make the difference of you getting the contract or not.
You need to be marketing pictures of your work. But with that being said, you don’t have to have a professional camera, or hire a photographer to come out to each job. Too many pool builders get bogged down in this process when the solution is in your pocket!
Instagram is a free app that you can download to your smart phone. From there you can setup an account and start taking pictures.
-Everyone on your crew has a smartphone
-It’s nearly impossible to take a bad instagram photo

Not High Res? Not a Problem!

Some might look at these and say that they are not the highest quality. Guess what – we’ve done the research, and it doesn’t matter! One of our highest grossing pool builders uses Instagram exclusively for his pool pictures, and their clients love it! There is a reason that Facebook bought Instagram for $1 Billion.

Who Should Take The Pictures?

Answer – Everyone at a job site. You can designate 1 person on your crew to be in charge of it, however Instagram is free, and the more photos you have to choose from, the better they are going to be. Have everyone on your crew add Instagram to their phones, and have each one of them take several pictures of the job they are working on. Then at the end of the week have everyone consolidate and email you the pictures they’ve taken and voila – you have a whole new gallery that you can use.
We suggest you have your crew take pictures:
Who knows if you will use all of the photos, but as they say – it’s better to have them and not need them, than to need them and not have them.
