Facebook Ad Manager Job Description

About The Position

The correct candidate has a mastery of the Facebook advertising platform, with an understanding of best practices and how to apply them to maximize return on investment for our SMB clients.

They will know how to build campaigns quickly from scratch and know how to optimize campaigns properly over time.


Position Details

  • Experience: 1-2 years running large numbers of Facebook Ad Campaigns
  • Compensation is negotiable based on experience.
  • This position is full-time.
  • This is a work from home position


Technical Skills

Must Haves:

  • Facebook Advertising Experience
  • Previous work with SMBs
  • Experience running large numbers of Facebook ad campaigns, while analyzing the results and implementing optimization changes


Nice to Have:

  • Google Tag Manager familiarity
  • Adwords Platform familiarity
  • Twitter, Pinterest & other social platform familiarity


Knowledge of the Concept:

  • Remarketing/Display Experience
  • Email Marketing Experience
  • Online reputation management



Core Areas of Focus

Solution Oversight

  • Develop templated campaign structure for Facebook
  • Manage overall FB strategy, including connecting social ads to the rest of the marketing strategy
  • Create documentation for campaign creation, monitoring, and analysis
  • Stay on top of new features and trends that can improve offering

Strategy Integration

  • Collaborate with Funnel Team to link Facebook campaigns to Nurture Sequences
  • Tailor Facebook Ad language to match specific Lead Magnets, website, and PPC
  • Ensure proper installation of Facebook Pixel via Google Tag Manager to track leads
  • Perform Quality Control tasks to ensure proper customer experience

Testing and Analysis

  • Record and track all relevant metrics that predict campaign success
  • Perform split testing to confirm the most successful aspects of campaigns
  • Optimize campaigns based on data analysis
  • Generate regular feedback for clients

Campaign Management

  • Create and run Facebook campaigns for clients
  • Develop compelling ad copy tailored to client’s specific offering
  • Assess and remedy any campaign issues as they arise
  • Monitor spend rates and make budget recommendations based on performance

Areas of Accountability

  • High ROI for Facebook campaigns
  • Strong records of all projects
  • Creation and management of onboarding, creating & managing campaigns
  • Knowledge of updates and changes to Facebook’s Advertising Platform
